For example, if you are working with clay and want to make an object of some kind, it’s probably best to use a potter’s wheel because clay dries out quickly when left out in the air and won’t hold its shape well without being fired in a kiln first. If you were using glass instead (or any other material), it would be easier for someone who isn’t familiar with ceramics or pottery techniques because glass is much more malleable than clay–you could just mold it into whatever shape they wanted without worrying about drying time or firing temperatures.
